Unity means oneness-- oneness of thought and of purpose. In order for a sentence to have unity (1) its statements must be closely related, (2) the relationships of its statements must be clear, and (3) the statements must compose only one thought.

Closely relating is living life as a part of a body of believers.
Relationships of its statements is communicating.
The one thought is Christ.
